Alyssa Nilemo is a fourth-generation Japanese-American who identifies as Hapa, or mixed race. An Alum of both the Sakura Foundation’s Mirai Leadership Program and the U.S. Japan Council’s Emerging Leaders Program, she joined the Asian Chamber of Commerce in 2018. Alyssa works in the City Manager’s Office in Westminster and is a non-traditional student at Metro State University, pursuing a degree in Political Science. She also volunteers as the Superintendent of the Dharma School for the Tri-State Denver Buddhist Temple where she attended when she was a child.

As the Executive Director of the Asian Chamber Foundation of Colorado she is focused on making education and representation more accessible in the community. She has deep gratitude for the opportunity to give back to the communities that have uplifted and empowered her.
